Incorporated in June, 1994, Forensic Accident Reconstructionists of Oregon, Inc. (FARO) exists to serve the collision investigation and reconstruction community within Oregon. Currently, over 90 members strong, FARO's membership includes engineers, physicians, attorneys, insurance professionals, law enforcement personnel, private investigators, and others. While the bulk of FARO's members are experienced reconstructionists, some are new to the field.
The Oregon Association of Licensed Investigators, Inc., (OALI) was founded in 1983 and is the oldest and largest organization of licensed private investigators in the state.
The Washington Association of Technical Accident Investigators ( WATAI) was formed in 1979 and is the oldest of the technical accident investigation organizations in the United States. Twenty-five plus years since its inception WATAI remains true to its original mission; “to promote education and research in the field of accident investigation; to encourage interdisciplinary communication between the practitioners of accident investigation; and to cooperate and participate with other organizations dedicated to the science of accident investigations”.
The State of Oregon has a Citizen Legislature consisting of the Senate, whose 30 members are elected to serve four-year terms, and the House of Representatives, which has 60 members elected for two-year terms.
